Hey Meg,
I’m in Madison area (5A). I’m buying organic pepper starts this year and debating about when to put them in … options are either this Saturday or next. I don’t have the possibility of covering them for the next few weeks, so they’ll be out in the elements with the forecast showing low 40s in the evenings a few times over the next 10 days. Would I do them a favor by waiting that extra week. Not sure how to balance extra time in the ground with low-temp stunting.-
Amy! Yes hold off. I’m so sorry I didn’t write back sooner. I’m not regretting planting mine but they are requiring a lot of extra babysitting this week.
